As my knowledge, “thep rau” are structural steel bars jutted out from some constructional components for use joining with other components. According their use, are they called “joint reinforcement” or “joint rebar”? I'm not quite sure!

Following your answer, "Rau" is meaning exceessive part of structural steel bars in concrete, being used for joining with other components. That's right? In this case, can you find the word in English? I think it can't. And Mr. Doan08's question have no answer.

In my first thoughts, "rau" is the name of the special shaped steel bars, for example, C Steel bar, U Steel bar,....... Therefore, I'd like to know what field it is used for.

“Thep rau” is an unofficial constructional term. I heard masons say that. But if Mr. Doan or some constructional engineers don’t have opinions, I think maybe we must stop here because we are mechanical engineers!
